Cherry Pie: Lifestyle/Stock/Food Photography

This is a recent stock assignment shot in studio.  I was looking to create fun, clean, bright, and colorful stock imagery of a cherry pie and it's "chef" with a modern vintage feel.  Makeup/Hair/Nails and by Liz Washer http://www.lizwashermakeup.com. Props, styling, food preparation by me.  Just as you cannot have one bite of cherry pie...I could not pick just one photo.

How to build a Spaghetti Bridge

Fact: The spaghetti bridge world record was set by two students from Hungary.  They built a bridge that weighed about two pounds and held a weight of 975 pounds.  Sounds like a challenge for me!
My son and I made our version.  Simple, fun, and editable from the Time book for kids "Big Book of How".  I am hoping to take this on the road as a science project at his school http://www.conwellcec.org/.

 What you need

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Step 4 (always have a sense of humor)

 Step 5

 Step 6

 Step 7

Step 8 (count how many pennies it took before it broke. We added stand of spaghetti a few times to see the difference between 1 or 3 strands.  We had 39 pennies in our envelope.  A paperclips work just as well to hold the envelope on FYI). Have fun!!
